But it seems to work only at the beginning of a score, see: %%%% \version "2.19.82" \new StaffGroup << \new Staff { c'1 \override StaffGroup.SystemStartBracket.color = #red \break b'1 } \new Staff { b'1 \break b'1 } >> %%%%Here neither the first (would have been surprising) nor the second are colored.
