Visualising row and column marks

Can anyone recommend a way to find out where the primary row and column
marks are for an object? It'd be cute if you could get a visual
impression of this from the document, to help when things go wrong. (eg
visual lines extending from a given object to show the marks.)

I'm sure this could be done with a @Graphic and some postscript, but how
do I get the coordinates of the marks to embed within the postscript?
