I've added a link called
Nonpareil Language Specification, Version 1.0
to my Nonpareil page, which is
http://www.it.usyd.edu.au/~jeff/nonpareil
It's the first and current version of my document specifying
Nonpareil. I've implemented the lexer, a parser for all the
syntax, and code for building up the classes and features of
the complete system, including views and renaming.
Comments and suggestions about these parts of the design,
and also their descriptions in the document above, would
be very welcome sent to me at address@hidden
The next step is type calculation and checking. As they
say in the Antarctic, "I may be gone some time". I do
have the two recent books on this subject, by Pierce and
Bruce respectively, but if you want to share your wisdom
about type systems and how to implement them, feel free.
