[Ltib] sudo /opt/ltib/usr/bin/rpm hang

I am trying to do a distclean with ./ltib -m distclean, but the rpm command is hanging.  Any ideas? 

sudo /opt/ltib/usr/bin/rpm --root /home/paul/ltib-8-1-2-sv/rootfs --dbpath /var/lib/rpm -e --allmatches --define '_tmppath /tmp/ltib' sysconfig

strace shows it is waiting, not much help there.
