is probably auto-negotiated, but that may be configurable: worth
checking that you have configured it to do 100 Mbps where it can.
As well as the network hardware being capable you must also consider
whether the CPU you have is capable of delivering that data rate. This
is likely to be a serious bottleneck for the sorts of CPUs that use
lwIP.
