Have you ruled out a low level driver problem? Maybe software is not reading the packets out of the hardware as often as they come in. Perhaps multiple packets arrive in hardware and the software is not reading

On Behalf Of Mark Dowdy Thanks, the timers seem OK. I did learn a little more. It seems that connection creation takes some time (~1 sec?). Not having any familiarity with the inner workings of lwIP, I can’t venture a guess what is going on. I have found that if I create a connection and
then wait 1 second (ugh, a delay) before using the connection, even the first data moves much more quickly.
