re y/Y as response for "yes".

(Of course ONLY a y or Y should mean "yes")

In eg emacs, for "really important" questions, like if you
answer to do it, it will delete the file or something,
it will insist on a "fully spelled out" yes, eg Y E S.

That to avoid, I guess, a kneejerk "y" screwing you.
