With autoconf you should always do "make distclean" after any
changes that will affect your cache file. (Sometimes it is
easier for the uninitiated to simply `rm -rf` the whole lynx2-8
breakout, and start with a totally fresh breakout, saving perhaps
only your userdefs.h.)
