there's a long section in  userdefs.h , very clearly marked as important
for sysadmins installing Lynx for anonymous use, which allows them to deny
all kinds of actions to such users.  if the path to  lynx.cfg  is added
to the Current Link page, it can hardly be difficult to suppress it
for such users.  Trace Mode is quite clearly not the place for it.

this kind of careless thinking remains irritating:
it treats people who install Lynx for their own use as 2nd-class citizens
compared with sysadmins running sites with anonymous users,
who are probably a minority among current Lynx installers.
all the varieties of Lynx user should be catered for equally if possible.
