I know this isn't kosher, but has anybody thought of introducing a
compensatory mechanism into Lynx's mail notification code to account for
the dummy message that newer (>=4.0x) versions of Pine insert at the
beginning of the mailbox? I know it's Pine's problem, but it seems to be
driving our users nuts, because they always receive a "You have mail"
notification when starting Lynx, even when they have no other mail than
that dummy message.
Ryan.
