You should be using file: instead of http: since http://localhost means
retrieve
the file through the webserver running on this machine.

The machine running the program.

If lynx is running on a shell on netcom's machine, it means netcom's machine.
If lynx is running on your machine and the page is on netcom's machine, it
means your machine.
