Okay. I am trying out our signaling problem today with a different
configuration (I'll try the original configuration tonite when I get home.)
UltraSPARC Solaris 2.6, Sun C compiler, ncurses 5.0 patched thru 990710 .
I can send along all sorts of config info to someone if they want it.
I did a make distclean and then configured and build fresh.
I take the following steps:
./lynx http://purl.org/thecliff/tcl/wiki/Grapffit
I then select the "Edit Graffiti" link (it was link number 13 when I chose it)
This puts me on a dynamically generated form with a textarea. I enter
the textarea (link 2) and type the keystroke to enter my default editor
(^V^Ve).
Now I am in nvi. I press ^Z. A ps reveals:
$ ps
PID TTY TIME CMD
28225 pts/3 0:00 lynx
940 pts/3 0:11 ksh
1103 pts/3 0:01 netscape
1102 pts/3 38:37 netscape
28246 pts/3 0:00 nvi
28245 pts/3 0:00 sh
I type a fg to return to nvi. I see:

JC: nope, not yet. ''They will, though.'' You can indent by multiples of 3 spa
ces if you want. When it's fixed, they will show up correctly (bulleted, number
ed, and itemized).
----
LV: JC, is the number of spaces significant for bulleting?
JC: yes, three spaces per indent (or a tab, but they are a big problem on some b
rowsers). I followed a convention I saw in some other Wiki implementations.
:q
(Textarea) Enter text. Use UP/DOWN arrows or TAB to move off (^Ve for editor).
I press an Up arrow. I type ^L. I see the original page again.
