It is the expected behavior of the "Insert" and "Delete" keys to
move up/down by 2 lines. In the 'K'eymap page I see:
Insert key UP_TWO go back two lines in the document
Remove key DOWN_TWO go forward two lines in the document
These are defaults, but you can change them with KEYMAP options.
The defaults don't make much sense if one considers just the function
inplied by the key names. They make more sense if you consider the
physical location of the keys that are meant to be recognized as
"Insert key" and "Remove key" (at least on the most common keykoards).
So it seems 2.8.3dev.4 fixed recognition of your "Delete" key
(or "Remove key", in lynx's terms), but you call it broken -
so what did "Delete" do before?
I don't know what happened to your "backspace" key, but I guess you
setup must be unusual, and you didn't give any relevant info -
TERM, TERMINFO, xterm-clone?, changed .lynx-keymaps?, 'K'eymap output,
what does the key actually send. (If you gave such details in previous
threads, don't expect people to remember.)
Also check how the keys behave in line-editing mode.
