Try to get a newer lynx version (as already suggested by others).

Check whether the problem also occurs without the "nohup".

Not with lynx.  You can do that with other programs that are
specialized for non-interactive downloading, see the

   Other browsing software

section in the current Lynx help (if your installed version does not
point to it: a copy - maybe not the latest, but it does have the links -
is at
<http://www.crl.com/~subir/lynx/lynx_help/lynx_help_main.html>).
Try wget.  But resuming may depend on support on the server side,
which is not available on all sites.
