You can always put:
KEYMAP:^D:DO_NOTHING
in your lynx.cfg file, and the key will be ignored. Or you can map it to
KEYMAP:^D:QUIT
and it will ask if you really want to quit.
At least it works in my MINGW build of lynx. I didn't test with other
platforms.
