Subject: | [Lynx-dev] Redirection - using lynx |

Hi, I’m new to lynx and need to know the following: 1)
If a site is having multiple times of redirection (single or more), is it possible to extract the URL of the final site (target site)? Eg: Assume www.one.com redirects to
www.two.com, which inturn redirects to
www.three.com after about 3 seconds delay. When I visit the site
www.one.com in lynx, it’ll be taken to www.two.com and then to
www.three.com. My question is, is it possible for lynx to return the string
www.three.com, or how do I get the final URL string, i.e.
www.three.com. 2)
The link: “http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=q5QZHUbCIj8&offerid=136185.564321&type=15&subid=0” works in UI based browsers, but not in lynx. I’m wondering why it does not work in lynx. (Also saw many other sites which
is displayed in UI browser, but not in lynx) How do I make lynx visit and display the contents in this site? What I observe when I enter lynx
http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=q5QZHUbCIj8&offerid=136185.564321&type=15&subid=0 is:
$ lynx http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=q5QZHUbCIj8&offerid=136185.564321&type=15&subid=0 [2] 19773 [3] 19774 [4] 19775 [3] Done offerid=136185.564321 [4] Done type=15 $ Thanks in advance for any help, Regards, Ravi http://www.mindtree.com/email/disclaimer.html |
