OK, that may not be the cause. I just did a…

$ lynx http://www.google.com/search?[…]

… and got the same error; a second attempt worked.

So far I’ve only seen this for http sites though, but there,
to an amount that made me think a lot of sites and/or CDNs
disabled http or broke them with lynx.
