Please, test it and report any bugs you find.

Lzip is a lossless data compressor based on the LZMA algorithm, with
very safe integrity checking and a user interface almost identical to
the one of bzip2.

Changes in this version:

  * A 1-byte read out of allocated memory that could theoretically 
produce a bad compressed file has been fixed.

  * "make install-info" should now work on Debian and OS X, really. :-)
