Version 1.4-rc1 of lzip is ready for testing here
http://download.savannah.gnu.org/releases/lzip/lzip-1.4-rc1.tar.lz
http://download.savannah.gnu.org/releases/lzip/lzip-1.4-rc1.tar.gz
Please, test it and report any bugs you find.
Lzip is a lossless data compressor based on the LZMA algorithm, with
very safe integrity checking and a user interface similar to the one of
gzip/bzip2.
Changes in this version:
* The new option "--output", that sends output to a file when reading
from standard input, has been added. This allows the direct creation of
multivolume compressed tar archives.
* "testsuite/unzcrash.cc" now tests all 1-byte errors instead of only
1-bit errors.
Regards,
Antonio Diaz, lzip author and maintainer.
