I'll release shortly lzip-1.8-rc2 with the 3 cygwin warnings fixed. The 
mingw errors seem to be bugs or shortcomings in the C library or in 
mingw itself.

This is because fprintf is not able to print long long ints.

S_ISSOCK should be defined in sys/stat.h. Same for S_IRGRP, S_IROTH and 
fchmod.

fchown should be defined in unistd.h


> ../source/main.cc:554: error: 'SIGHUP' was not declared in this scope

SIGHUP should be defined in signal.h. (I have corrected 1.8-rc2 to 
include csignal instead).
