Lzip is a lossless data compressor based on the LZMA algorithm, with
very safe integrity checking and a user interface similar to the one of
gzip or bzip2.
The homepage is at http://www.nongnu.org/lzip/lzip.html.
Changes in this version:
* Regular files are now open in binary mode in non-POSIX platforms
defining the O_BINARY macro.
* File specified with option "-o" is now created with write
permission for all if umask allows it, and deleted if lzip is
interrupted by the user.

Antonio Diaz, lzip author and maintainer.
