I tried to recreate
the original problem, using both cmd.exe and cygwin. I was not very successful,
unless I used the -d switch, then it was fairly easy to get the make process to
die by pressing CTRL-C. I installed the patch, and have not been able to get a
failure, with or without -d. Sometimes the CTRL-C will come while processing a
batch file, and I'll get the "Teriminate batch job" prompt, but once I answer
the prompt, make always exits gracefully.
