maybe it would help if people would tell their choice of Linux, which 
kind of connection they have and so on...

for my part:

cvs-2002/12/15 on Debian 3.0 stable, ocaml 3.06 from unstable, DSL 
768up/128down, Celeron 400, 230MB RAM,
and I get absolutely nothing, doesn't work for me the least.
(gonna try fresh cvs-2002/12/18 later)
