Subject: | [Mldonkey-users] bittorrent functionality broken(2.5-3) |

FYI- mldonkey doesn't handle bittorrent properly, for whatever reason.I had a bittorrent download that was going nowhere fast- 2-3 days and about 20% of the download. I knew something was wrong, because the tracker showed a lot of seeders(at least 10) and not that many clients- maybe 50.
So I fired up the official BT client on a different machine(YES, portmappings and port settings ARE correct on both systems, thank you; I've tested both) and within 20 minutes I had 20% and was getting about 100-120kB/sec, which was faster than any burst rate the mldonkey client ever got. Meanwhile- mldonkey still doing nothing.
As I type, mldonkey still has only 20%, is connected to 0 out of 60 sources(so it knows of all the clients!) and its upload queue is empty- while the official client has over 30% and is uploading like crazy.
