I'm using Debian sid, and have the following aliases defined:
address@hidden:~$ alias | grep ml
alias mld='mldonkey_server --daemon'
alias mli='tree -a ~/.mldonkey/incoming/'
alias mls='mldonkey_server --stop'
alias mlt='telnet localhost 4000'
Using mldonkey with them is a blast.
