[monit] monitrc vs monit.conf

I have a 4.9 version of monit running that uses /etc/monitrc for configuration
settings. I download an rpm for a 4.9 version and it uses /etc/monit.conf Can
someone let me know why the difference? What controls the name of the config
file. I would like to change it so both versions match.
