I did see an interesting response about monitoring a file. Check the archives.

Here's an example of something I've done. It makes sure that the mount point exists then mounts the device.

check device dbfs with path /dev/sdh
start program = "/bin/bash -c 'mkdir -p /data/db ; sleep 1 ; mount /data/db'"
