monit with nginx phusion passenger

I'm a newbie to monit. I can't figure out how to do, hope you guys could help me.

I saw a mail archive which is posted almost a year and a half ago about this topic http://lists.nongnu.org/archive/html/monit-general/2009-03/msg00029.html, but seems no one replied for that.

Here is my question: is it possible to monitor my rails apps which is deployed by nginx phusion passenger? How could it be done since I have several applications?
