Hi all,

What do you do when monit locks up and can't be restarted?

$ killall -9 monit

$ killall -9 monit

$ ps aux
USER PID %CPU %MEM VSZ RSS TTY STAT START TIME COMMAND
root      4536  0.0  0.0  40952  1808 ?        D     2014  62:09 /usr/bin/monit
-c /etc/monit/monitrc

$ monit
monit daemon with PID 4536 awakened

I can't close monit and I can't start it, what do I do? None of the
tests are running. Do I need to reboot my server? Surely not! :-)

Thanks,
Adam.
