M/Monit host alerts |

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to setup M/Monit to send recurring alerts in case Monit on one of
the hosts is stopped.
If I kill monit on a host, I end up receiving a heartbeat failed alert and it
gets resent every 5 minutes as configured.
However, if I stop monit on a host, I get an alert warning me the instance was
stopped, but I don’t get anything after that.
I guess the logic here is that since I stopped the service, I probably don’t
want to get recurring notifications.
My problem is that on one occasion, following a reboot, monit for some reason
didn’t restart on a host and of course, I had no way of knowing without
checking the M/Monit interface.
Is it therefore possible to get recurring alerts if M/Monit looses contact with
one the hosts (when host is marked as inactive)?
Thanks,
Philippe
