I wrote up a preliminary plan on what to do next on the delta storage
stuff, i.e., make some comparisons:
http://venge.net/monotone/wiki/DeltaStorageStrategies/ShootOut
How does it sound? Do the measurements sound like they hit the right
things? Does it seem plausible to actually do this? Who wants to
pick up the list of todo bits at the end? Anyone have any weird
histories that might stress a storage format in new and interesting
ways?
I'd especially be interested to hear Matt J. and Graydon's opinions,
since they're the one that've actually been, like, doing work here
:-), and can judge much better than I how crazy it is to get actual
benchmarkable versions of things ready, and on what timescale...
Cheers,
