Gnus/5.1002 (Gnus v5.10.2) Emacs/22.0.50 (darwin) |
We are upgrading from montone version 0.23 to 0.32.
In the NEWS file it is mentioned that in 0.32 and in 0.30
both have seen improvements in the speed of
mtn annotate
I wonder, do people think it can be made faster still?
Because when I do:
mtn annotate build
in our project it takes 37.5 secs. On a dual 3Ghz 64-bit machine with
3Gb of memory running Linux.
That is a tad to slow to feel spiffy.
Oh, the databse contins about 2000 revisions and the file in question
is changed regularly, about 80 times. (But there are files that are changed
more.)
But even on a file that is only changed 13 times it still takes 4.5 seconds.
Small file changed only 3 times: > 2 sec.
Ah well, maybe that will motivate me to look into the code.
Wim Oudshoorn.
