Adapting to the proposed template results in something like:

-- Edit fields beneath this line to modify certificate values
...
(Note that I don't see any value in explicitly mentioning the "OR
MODIFY" option to the user, but that's another topic).
At some point, a newbie needs to read the manual; the tutorial would be
a good place to point this out.
Sure, and the proposed addition certainly won't replace such a tutorial
nor the manual. However, neither of these two are a replacement for a
quick explanation about what this editor that popped up (potentially on
another virtual desktop or who knows where) is about.
