I'm sstarting to feel stupid.
I'm getting to the monotone server via usher now.
Read 'mtn: beginning service on 127.0.0.1 : 15002
'
So that's good.
But now I'm having problems with permissions.
I get the message:
mtn: warning: protocol error while processing peer 4691://topoi.pooq.com/write:
'received network error: denied 'ad968be7244234e8d653201ab1ddd33b53ffa04d' read
permission for '*' excluding '' because of branch
'com.pooq.hendrik.write.melinda''
Of course com.pooq.hendrik.write.melinda is the important branch I want to
sync.
My .monotone/read-permissions file:
pattern "com.pooq.hendrik.write*"
allow "address@hidden"
allow "address@hidden"
allow "address@hidden
pattern "com.pooq.hendrik.mtxt*"
allow "address@hidden"
allow "address@hidden
pattern "com.pooq.hendrik.cash*"
allow "address@hidden"
allow "address@hidden
pattern "com.pooq.hendrik.edworld*"
allow "address@hidden"
allow "address@hidden
and my .monotone/write-permissions:
address@hidden
address@hidden
address@hidden
Now ls .monotone/keys give me
address@hidden:~$ ls .monotone/keys
address@hidden address@hidden
address@hidden:~$
Theres no address@hidden
If I try to place a public key there I get server-side complaints that
Read 'mtn: error: Extraneous data in key store'
But when I, server side, say
mtn --db monotone/write.db read ~/pubkey
it tells me
mtn: read 1 packet
but otherwise still refuses to sync.
The pubkey, of course, is the file I generated on my other machine by running
mtn pubkey address@hidden >~/april/pubkey
-- hendrik
