Hi Alan,

I have examined the workflow and as far as I can tell, the problem occurred 
before the workflow reached myExperiment.  If you download workflow 1014 then 
you can see that the problem UTF-8 characters are already set to 0xFFFD inside 
the scufl.  There's no problem with the UTF-8 encoding however.
 
As a test I just changed some of the characters to " and " inside the scufl 
file, uploaded it to myExperiment and they came out fine in both the website 
page and also via the REST API.  Looking at the logs, the workflow was uploaded 
via the website and not from Taverna directly so that rules out the 
myExperiment plugin as a possible source of the corruption.

I am trying to use the API to myExperiment and my code (actually
workflow) is falling over when it looks at workflow 1014.  If you visit the 
page http://www.myexperiment.org/workflows/1014 then you can see that something 
is abnormal with the title and description of the workflow.
