Sadly no. unless it's built into nano :P

OS is Arch Linux x64.
nano was inside tmux inside of PuTTY.
I tried putty in 3 keyboard modes: "ESC[n~", "Linux" and "VT100+"
As I'm writing this email, I tried it outside of tmux; and it worked fine!
So something going on weird in there....
doesn't seem to be $TERM.
FWIW, the arrow keys seem to work correctly in other programs.
One (working) example being readline editing.
