Not a bug, sorry for any confusion. I did *manually* edit the Subject
in vim. I was not aware of where I got that '<<' notation until you
mentioned it; I must have mentally picked it you from 'scan'.
I was trying to spare you the step of opening the email. :->
I tend to edit Subject lines to hint at new content.
