Can you confirm config.h doesn't have HAVE_STDBOOL_H #defined?
h/nmh.h does
#ifdef HAVE_STDBOOL_H
# include <stdbool.h>
#else
# define bool int
# define true 1
# define false 0
#endif
and that's probably upsetting things.
Does your Solaris C compilation environment have a stdbool.h?
Is gcc available?
