it seems i cannot create it under cvsroot/octalmachines, so it is now
cvsroot/octalmachines/octalmachines/gearlib/
we should attempt to collect generally (for machine coders) useful stuff
there, so feel free to add your bits!

agree... files should be named for what they do.
