Follow-up Comment #4:
gnuplot supports multiple coordinate systems. I think we could get away with
specifying the arrows in the coordinate system of the plot ("first" axis) and
then allow gnuplot to determine how they should appear based on the view.
Unless, we are doing the view calculations ourselves.
I've lowered the priority on this issue since this would be nice to have, but
isn't as critical as some of the other bugs like missing minor grid for the
FLTK backend.
