Follow-up Comment #2, bug #33895 (project octave):
The configure option is spelled --enable-64, not --enable64. Which did you
actually use when you configured Octave?
Does the summary printed by configure indicate that 64-bit indexing is
enabled?
What are the definitions of OCTAVE_IDX_TYPE and USE_64_BIT_IDX_T in the
generated config.h file?
