Hi


  I'm actually reinforcing a problem of installation of the symbolic package
in octave (ubuntu bug #757525).

  The point is there is no way to the symbolic package work in ubuntu 11.04
after the installation, either using the installation manager or the command
inside octave

 pkg install octave-symbolic

 Right now I'm using ubuntu 9.2 in a virutal box (windows host) to use the
symbolic package.


A solution or work around would be very welcomed
