Follow-up Comment #16, bug #35852 (project octave):
Thank you John for attending to this problem.
Please be aware that there are two separate bugs:
- The bug reported by N. Christopher Perry to the mailing list, reproducible
with bug.m and bug.txt. I was able to reproduce the bug on all available
platforms and Octave versions I have access to (3.6.1 on Ubuntu, 3.2.4 until
3.6.1 on Windows).
- The bug reported by Josh, Pascal, Todd and me that only affect Windows
builds 3.6.0 and 3.6.1.
To answer Jordis question: Yes, I was able to reproduce the bug with my test
program (fscanf_errortestcase.m) with 3.6.1 mingw32 and MSVC builds (VS2008
and VS2010), all downloaded from OctaveForge. The Cygwin version of Octave
3.6.1 does not produce the error.
