Follow-up Comment #2, bug #40212 (project octave):

I don't think it will be that hard either, but I can do this if it will free
you to work on bugs that I can't tackle.  There are a number of parser
oddities and the regression with the profiler (involving the symbol table)
which I would rather have solved.
