Follow-up Comment #4:

I fixed the legend color here
(http://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/580990c2ce04).  There is still no
updating if the bar colors are changed manually or if the clim values are
changed in the parent axes.  There was already a note in the code about the
lack of listeners needed to fix those sorts of issues.
