Details:
In GUI mode, the command "edit" does not create non extisting files when the
file extension is not .m or .cc.
Steps to reproduce:
* Start octave in GUI mode
* Enter "edit foo.txt" in the console window
* The file foo.txt is not created but the editor is still called with this
file
"edit foo.cc" or "edit foo.m" work as expected.
