Follow-up Comment #10, bug #41452 (project octave):

I mean to say I tested your v3 patch on the other bug dealing with Unity, I
did not test the v1 or v2 patches on this bug report. The v3 patch worked
perfectly. I also installed the awesome WM, saw the same minimization problem
as the OP, and it is fixed for me with the v3 patch.
