Update of bug #41526 (project octave):

                  Status:                    None => Works For Me

Follow-up Comment #2:

Cannot reproduce on Linux with 3.8.0, both CLI (with dbstop) and GUI (with
dbstop and using the editor) work for me with a script just created in the
same Octave session. If someone can independently verify this on Windows, then
please mark as a Windows-specific bug, but looks to work fine on Linux.
