Update of bug #41627 (project octave):
Category: Octave Function => Documentation
Severity: 3 - Normal => 2 - Minor
Item Group: Regression => Incorrect Documentation
Status: None => Confirmed
Release: dev => 3.8.0
Operating System: GNU/Linux => Any
Summary: mlock function throws an error in 4.1.0+ dev build
=> doc: Function Locking describes obsolete usage for the mlock function

Follow-up Comment #1:
Recategorizing as a documentation bug. This is most likely simply out of date
documentation describing the mlock function rather than expected behavior that
has been unintentionally lost. AFAICT this syntax was removed somewhere around
version 3.0 of Octave.
This could be fixed for the imminent 3.8.1 if someone has
time/ability/interest to update the sections of func.txi to describe mlock
best practices.
