Details:
I was able to narrow the problem I was having down to a call to imrotate.
AI3c=imread('AI3c70.tif');
AI3cr=imrotate(AI3c(1:3050,:),-5/3.14*180,'bilinear','crop');
I will upload the test image in a couple of minutes
